- Station 79's New Truck: We have a great working relationship with the fire department from our neighboring town of Deerfield (Station 79). As a part of that relationship, the members of the two departments occassionally pull harmless pranks on each other. The prank that we pulled on Deerfield in the summer of 2007 was to spray paint an old beat up pickup truck pink and equip it with old obsolete equipment. We painted the letters "79" on the side of it using purple paint to make it look like one of Deerfield's brush trucks. We then ran the vehicle in our annual Community Day Parade in front of thousands of spectators! The prank got many laughs from both sides. More...
